Buttermilk Chess Pie

Ingredients:
1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons flour
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
a dash of ground nutmeg

Instructions:
1) Preheat oven to 350�.
2) Cream together butter and sugar.
3) Add flour and eggs and beat thoroughly.
4) Stir in buttermilk, vanilla, and nutmeg.
5) Pour fillin' into pie shell.
6) Bake on lower rack of oven at 350� for 45 - 50 minutes.
7) Place on wire rack and let cool completely before servin'.
