chocolate cherry cobbler

" __Julia Child "Cooking is a creation." __Piero Selvaggio "'Tis an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers." __William Shakespeare ______________________________________Chocolate Cobbler Ingredients: 1 and 1/2 cups flour 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 teaspoons bakin' powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup butter 1 (6 ounce size) package Nestl�'s semisweet chocolate morsels 1/4 cup whole milk 1 large egg 1 (21 ounce size) can cherry pie fillin' 1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped Instructions: 1)Preheat oven to 350�. 2) In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, bakin' powder, salt and butter; cut with pastry blender [or 2 knives] 'til crumbs are size of large peas. 2) Melt Nestle's semisweet chocolate morsels over hot (but not boilin') water. 3) Remove from heat and cool for about five minutes. 4) Add milk and egg to melted chocolate and mix well. 5) Blend chocolate into flour mixture. 6) Spread cherry pie fillin' in bottom of a 2-quart casserole dish. 7) Drop chocolate batter randomly over cherries. 8) Sprinkle with chopped walnuts. 8) Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. 9) Serve warm with heavy cream, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.
