quick yam and cranberry casserole

" __Julia Child "Cooking is a creation." __Piero Selvaggio "'Tis an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers." __William Shakespeare ______________________________________Quick Yam and Cranberry Casserole Ingredients: 1 (40 ounces) can yams, drained 3 cups fresh whole cranberries 1 and 1/2 cups sugar 1 small orange, sliced 1/2 cup pecan halves 1/4 cup orange juice [or brandy] 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon mace Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 375�. 2) Wash cranberries. 3) Combine cranberries, sugar, orange slices, pecan halves, orange juice [or brandy] and spices in a 2-quart casserole. 4) Bake, uncovered, for thirty minutes. 5) Stir yams into cranberry mixture and bake for about fifteen minutes or 'til heated through.
