Fried Okra

Ingredients:
16 ounces fresh or frozen, sliced okra
2 cups oil
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup yellow corn meal
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 cups milk
2 eggs, beaten

Instructions:
1) If usin' frozen okra, thaw it out.
If usin' fresh okra, wash, remove ends, and slice.
2) Beat the eggs and combine with milk.
2) Place the okra in milk and let stand for fifteen minutes.
3) Drain the okra, a little bit at a time.
4) In a large ziploc baggie, combine the flour, corn meal,
salt, and pepper.
5) Thoroughly coat the drained okra by puttin' it in the baggie
and shakin' it real good.
6) Heat the oil in a large skillet and cover the bottom with a single layer of coated okra.
7) Cook 'til brownin', turnin' with a spatula only once.
8) Serve immediately.
