Angie's Chicken Soup

Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup flour
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 whole cloves
3 cups chicken or turkey broth
2 cups cooked chicken or turkey, cut into cubes
1 cup chopped apple, unpeeled
1/2 cup sliced carrots
1/2 cup sliced celery

Instructions:
1) In a large saucepan, cook the onion in butter, stirrin' 'til tender.
2) Stir in the four, parsley, curry powder, nutmeg, pepper, and cloves.
3) Cook 'til smooth and bubbly, stirrin' constantly.
4) Gradually stir in the chicken broth.
5) Cook 'til thickened, stirrin' constantly.
6) Stir in the cooked, cubed chicken, chopped apple, carrots,
and celery.
7) Simmer, covered, for thirty minutes, or 'til the vegetables are tender, but not mushy.
8) Remove cloves prior to servin'.
