" __Julia Child "Cooking is a creation." __Piero Selvaggio "'Tis an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers." __William Shakespeare ______________________________________Chocolate Dream Cake Ingredients for cake: 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 and 3/4 cups white sugar 3/4 cup bakin' cocoa 1 and 1/2 teaspoons bakin' soda 1 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup butter, softened 1 [16 ounce size] container dairy sour cream 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 9x13x2" bakin' pan. 2) Stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, bakin' soda, and salt in a large bowl. 3) Thoroughly beat in butter, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla. 4) Pour batter into prepared pan. 5) Bake for forty to forty-five minutes or 'til toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 6) Cool pan on a wire rack before frostin'. Ingredients for Fudge Frostin': 3 tablespoons butter 1/3 cup bakin' Cocoa 1 and 1/3 cups powdered sugar 2 to 3 tablespoons whole milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Instructions for frostin': 1) Over low heat, melt butter in a small saucepan. 2) Add cocoa and cook, stirrin' constantly, just 'til mixture begins to boil. 3) Pour into a mixin' bowl and cool completely. 4) Add powdered sugar alternately with the milk and beat to spreadin' consistency. 5) Stir in vanilla and frost cake.
