" __Julia Child "Cooking is a creation." __Piero Selvaggio "'Tis an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers." __William Shakespeare ______________________________________Spaghetti Pied Ingredients: 3 cups spaghetti, cooked and drained 2 tablespoons better 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup cottage cheese 1 lb ground beef 1/2 onion, chopped 1/4 green bell pepper, chopped 1 cup canned tomatoes, chopped 1 [6 ounce size] tomato paste 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon oregano, crushed 1/2 teaspoon fennel seed 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt 1 teaspoon pepper 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 350�. 2) Cook and drain spaghetti per directions on package and stir in butter. 3) Stir in parmesan cheese and well beaten eggs. 4) Butter a 10'' pie plate and line it with the spaghetti mixture. 5) Spread cottage cheese over spaghetti. 6) Cook ground beef, onion, and pepper in a large skillet 'til meat is browned and the peppers and onions are tender. 7) Drain fat off contents of skillet, then add tomatoes and their liquid, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, fennel, garlic salt, and pepper. 8) Once the meat mixture has been heated through, turn it into the pie plate on top of the cottage cheese. 9) Bake, uncovered, for twenty minutes. 10) Sprinkle mozzarella on pie and continue bakin' 'til cheese melts.
