" __Julia Child "Cooking is a creation." __Piero Selvaggio "'Tis an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers." __William Shakespeare ______________________________________Easy Anadama Bread Ingredients: 1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 and 1/4 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal 2 teaspoons bakin' powder 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon bakin' soda 1 and 1/3 cups buttermilk 1/3 cup dark molasses 1/4 cup butter, melted 1 egg Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 350�. Grease a 9x5" glass or Pyrex loaf pan. 2) Combine all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, yellow cornmeal, bakin' powder, salt and bakin' soda in large bowl. 3) In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, dark molasses, butter and egg. Blend thoroughly. 4) Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirrin' 'til blended. Don't overmix! 5) Turn batter into greased loaf pan. 6) Bake for about an hour, or 'til loaf springs back when touched. 7) Cool in pan on a wire rack for approximately ten minutes, then turn out onto rack to finish coolin'.
