" __Julia Child "Cooking is a creation." __Piero Selvaggio "'Tis an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers." __William Shakespeare ______________________________________Coke 'N Cocoa Cake Ingredients for cake: 2 cups flour 2 cups white sugar 2 sticks butter 6 tablespoons bakin' cocoa 1 cup Coke 2 eggs, beaten 1 tsp. bakin' soda 1/2 cup buttermilk 1 and 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows Instructions for cake: 1) Preheat oven to 350�. Grease and flour a 9x13 pan. 2) Combine flour and sugar. 3) In a saucepan, bring butter, Coke, and cocoa to a boil. 4) Add cola mixture to the flour mixture. 5) Add eggs, beatin' well after each addition. 6) In a small bowl, whisk together bakin' soda and buttermilk. 7) Add buttermilk and bakin' soda mixture to batter, beatin' thoroughly. 8) Fold in the marshmallows. 9) Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for thirty-five to forty minutes. *Don't worry if the batter looks thin. Ingredients for icin': 1/2 cup Coke 1 stick butter 3 tablespoons bakin' cocoa 1 box confectioners' sugar 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions for icin': 1) Melt the butter in a saucepan. 2) Add bakin' cocoa and Coke. 3) Bring mixture to a boil and keep boilin' for about two minutes, stirrin' continuously. 4) Add confectioners' sugar and nuts. Mix well. 5) Pour icin' over cake while warm.
