Cocoa Mystery Cake

Ingredients for cake:
1 and 3/4 cup unbleached flour, sifted
2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup bakin' cocoa powder
2 teaspoons bakin' soda
1 teaspoon bakin' powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup very strong black coffee
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ingredients for icin':
1/4 cup butter
3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
1 large egg
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablepsoon lemon juice
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions for cake:
1) Preheat oven to 350�. Grease a 9x13" bakin' pan.
2) In a large mixin' bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, bakin' soda, bakin' powder, and salt.
3) Beat in the eggs, oil, coffee, buttermilk and vanilla [in that order].
4) Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for about forty minutes,
or 'til a toothpick inserted in the centre of the cake comes out clean.
5) Cool in the pan on a wire rack before icin'.

Instructions for icin':
1) Put the butter and semi-sweet choclolate in the top of a
double boiler and melt over hot water.
2) Remove from heat and cool completely.
3) Add egg and beat well.
4) Add confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice,
then beat 'til smooth.
5) Stir in walnuts then spread icin' on cooled cake.
