This cake is made with all store bought ingredients and it's very easy to prepare, but folks seem to love it.

Bent Halo Cake

Ingredients:
2 envelopes (3 ounces each) unflavored gelatin
1 cup boilin' water
1 cup white sugar
1 [20 ounce size] can crushed pineapple, drained
the juice of one lemon
3 packets (1.3 ounces each) whipped toppin' mix
1 angel food cake (10 ounces), torn into bite-size chunks
1 can [3 and 1/2 ounce size] coconut

Instructions:
1) Sprinkle the gelatin over the boilin' water and stir
'til completely dissolved.
2) Add the sugar, pineapple, and lemon juice.
3) Combine thoroughly and refrigerate 'til slightly thickened.
4) Prepare two packets of the topping mix
accordin' to the directions on the box.
5) Stir whipped toppin' into the gelatin mixture.
6) Put a layer of cake chunks in a 2 and 1/2 quart bowl.
7) Add a layer of the gelatin mixture.
8) Repeat the layers 'til all the cake and gelatin mixture are used up.
9) Refrigerate for about two hours.
10) Prepare the remainin' packet of whipped toppin' mix accordin' to
the directions on the box.
11) Unmold the cake onto a servin' plate.
12) Use the whipped toppin' as icin' then sprinkle coconut over the top.
