granny's grape pie

It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." __Harriet Van Horne ______________________________________Granny's Grape Pie Ingredients: 3 cups red seedless grapes 3/4 cup white sugar 1/4 cup water 1 tablespoon lemon juice 3 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 cup water 1 tablespoon butter top and bottom pastry for a 9" pie whipped creme Instructions: 1) Preheat the oven to 350�. 2) In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the grapes, sugar, and water to a full boil, then continue boilin' over high heat for one minute. 3) Add the lemon juice and dissolved cornstarch. 4) Continue to cook, stirrin' constantly, 'til thickened. 5) Add the butter. 6) Pour the fillin' into the pie shell then top with the remainin' crust. 7) Crimp the edges to seal, then use a fork to prick the top of the crust. 8) Bake for fifty minutes. 9) Top each slice with a dollop of whipped creme.
