It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." __Harriet Van Horne ______________________________________Wolf Town Cookies Ingredients: 1 cup butter or margarine 1 cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed 1 egg 1 cup vegetable oil 1 and 1/2 cups oatmeal 1 cup Grape Nuts cereal 1 cup shredded coconut 1 cup chopped pecans 3 and 1/2 cups flour 1 teaspoon bakin' soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 350�. Grease cookie sheets. 2) Cream together butter and sugars 'til light and fluffy. 3) Beat in the egg, then the oil. 4) Add oats, cereal, coconut, and nuts, then mix well. 5) Add flour, bakin' soda, salt, and vanilla extract. 6) Form into balls about the size of walnuts. 7) Bake one inch apart for twelve minutes, or 'til light brown. 8) Allow to cool on cookie sheets for a few minutes, then finish coolin' on wire racks.
