Chiquitas 'N Cheese Bread

3/4 cup butter, softened
1 package [8 ounce sized] Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
2 cups white sugar
2 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon bakin' powder
1/2 teaspoon bakin' soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 and 1/2 cups mashed bananas
1 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:
1) Preheat oven to 350�.
2) Grease and flour two 8 by 4 inch loaf pans.
3) Beat together butter and cheese 'til creamy.
4) Gradually beat in sugar 'til mixture is light and fluffy.
5) Add eggs, one at a time, beatin' 'til just blended after each addition.
6) In a separate bowl, combin the flour, bakin' powder,
bakin' soda, and salt.
7)Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture,
beatin' 'til just blended.
8) Stir in bananas, chopped pecans, and vanilla extract.
9) Spoon batter into prepared pans.
10) Bake for about one hour or 'til center tests done and sides pull away from pan. If need be, cover loaves with aluminum foil durin' last fifteen minutes of bakin' to prevent browning.
11) Cool bread in pans on wire racks for ten minutes.
12) Remove from pans and finish coolin' on wire racks before slicin'.

Yield: two 8 by 4 inch loaves --- or 24 muffins.
