spicy 'sparagus 'n berry salad

It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." __Harriet Van Horne ______________________________________'Sparagus 'N Berry Salad Ingredients: 1 pound fresh asparagus 3 tablespoons olive oil salt and freshly ground pepper to taste 8 cups assorted salad greens 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced 1/2 small red onion, sliced thin 3/4 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 2 teaspoons white sugar Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 400�. 2) Trim the asparagus and cut into one inch pieces. 3) In a bowl, toss the asparagus with 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, then spread it in a single layer on a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan. Salt and pepper to taste. 4) Bake at 400� for fifteen to twenty minutes, or 'til tender. 5) In a large salad bowl, toss the greens with the strawberries, onion, walnuts, and asparagus. 6) In a small bowl, whisk the vinegar, sugar, and remainin' oil. 7)Drizzle the dressin' over the salad, then toss to coat.
