It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." __Harriet Van Horne ______________________________________Auntie LilaDean's Grape Pie Ingredients: 4 cups Concord grapes [about a pound and a half] 1 cup white sugar 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 and 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup white sugar 6 tablespoons butter Instructions: 1)Preheat oven to 375�. 2) Pop the skins off the grapes and set 'em aside. 3) Bring pulp to boilin' in a heavy saucepan. 4) Reduce heat and simmer five to six minutes. 5) Press the pulp through a sieve to remove the seeds. 6) Add the skins to pulp. 7) Combine the 1 cup white sugar with the flour and salt. 8) Add the lemon juice, the 1 and 1/2 tablespoons butter, and the grape mixture. 9) Pour fillin' into the unbaked pie shell. 10) In a bowl, combine the 1/2 cup flour with the 1/4 cup sugar, then cut in the 6 tablespoons butter 'til the mixture is crumbly. 11) Sprinkle the toppin' over the fillin'. 12) Bake for about 40 minutes.
