It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." __Harriet Van Horne ______________________________________Sunrise Apple Bars Ingredients: 1 and 1/2 cups quick cookin' rolled oats 1/4 cup whole wheat flour 2/3 cup dates, chopped 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 1/4 cup orange juice 1 and 1/2 cups raw apples, shredded Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 375�. 2) Combine all ingredients and let stand for ten minutes. 3) Press dough into an 8 by 8 inch bakin' dish. 4) Bake for about twenty-five minutes, 'til lightly browned. 5) Loosen with a spatula, then cut into bars while warm and serve immediately.
