Swift And Simple Fish Soup

Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 onion, chopped
3 pounds of the fresh fish of your choice, cleaned and cut into pieces
1 and 1/2 quarts water
2 peppercorns
1 bay leaf
a pinch of cayenne
1 lemon, cut into slices

Instructions:
1) Saut� the garlic and onion in hot oil in a dutch oven for ten minutes.
2) Add all the remainin' ingredients except for the lemon slices.
3) Cover and simmer for fifteen to twenty minutes,
or 'til the flakes easily when tested with a fork.
4) Remove the fish from the stock, then remove the skin and bones.
5) Return the fish to the pot and simmer for an additional
five to ten minutes.
6) Remove the peppercorns and the bay leaf.
7) Serve in individual bowls, garnished with lemon slices.
