It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." __Harriet Van Horne ______________________________________Turnip Fries Ingredients: 2 and1/2 pounds turnips --- about 8 medium sized turnips 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 and 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper 1 teaspoon paprika 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese olive oil spray Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 425�. 2) Spray large bakin' sheet with olive oil. 3) Pare and cut the turnips into 2 and 1/2 by 1/2 inch slices. 4) Thoroughly combine the onion powder, pepper, paprika, and cheese in a gallon size, zip-top plastic bag. 5) Put the turnips in the bag, seal, and shake to coat. 6) Spread the turnips on the bakin' sheet --- and spray with a little more oil if desired. 7) Bake for twenty to thirty minutes, or 'til turnips are tender and golden, turnin' once. 8) Serve hot instead of french fries.
