Minerva Mae's Strawberry Salad

Ingredients:
1 head Bibb, Boston, or Green Leaf lettuce
1 pint fresh strawberries, quartered
2 cans mandarin oranges, drained
1 purple onion, thinly sliced
1 kiwi fruit, sliced
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup canola oil
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions:
1) Clean lettuce and tear into pieces.
2) Put the lettuce leaves in a salad bowl and mix it with the quartered strawberries, drained mandarin oranges, sliced onion, and kiwi.
3) In a separate bowl, thoroughly wisk together the sugar, salt,
cider vinegar, canola oil, poppy seeds, dry mustard and paprika.
4) Toss dressin' with salad and serve.
