easy cheddar chowder

" __Julia Child "Cooking is a creation." __Piero Selvaggio "'Tis an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers." __William Shakespeare ______________________________________Easy Cheddar Chowder Ingredients: 2 cups chopped cabbage 1 cup onion, chopped 1 cup celery, sliced 1 cup frozen peas, thawed 1 cup thin carrot slices 1/2 cup butter 12 ounces creamed corn 2 1/2 cups whole milk 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon thyme 2 and 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded Instructions: 1) Saut� the cabbage, onion, celery, peas, and carrots in butter in a large saucepan for eight to ten minutes, or 'til the vegetables are tender. Stir frequently. 2) Add corn, milk, pepper, and thyme, then simmer for fifteen to twenty minutes, stirrin' occasionally. 3) Add cheese and stir 'til melted.
