" __Julia Child "Cooking is a creation." __Piero Selvaggio "'Tis an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers." __William Shakespeare ______________________________________Peanut Butter 'N Apple Dandies Ingredients: 1/2 cup margarine 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup light brown sugar 1 large egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 large apple, cored, peeled, and grated 2 cups white flour 3/4 teaspoon bakin' soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup additional white sugar Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 350�. 2) Cream margarine and peanut butter. 3) Cream in white and brown sugar. 4) Beat in egg and vanilla extract. 5) Stir in grated apple. 6) Sift together the flour, bakin' soda, salt, and cinnamon. 7) Add flour mixture to creamed mixture. 8) Shape dough into 1" balls and roll in granulated sugart. 9) Place cookies 1 and 1/2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Press each cookie with the back of a fork [that's been dipped in granulated sugar] to flatten. 10) Bake for twelve minutes, or 'til cookies are just golden. 11) Cool for a few minutes on cookie sheets, then remove to finish coolin'.
