" __Julia Child "Cooking is a creation." __Piero Selvaggio "'Tis an ill cook that cannot lick his own fingers." __William Shakespeare ______________________________________Chocolate Tater Cake Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon bakin' soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 4 eggs 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup mashed potatoes, cold 3/4 cup *sour milk
Instructions: 1) Preheat oven to 375�. 2) Sift together flour, bakin' soda, and salt. 2) Cream together butter and sugar. 3) Add eggs one at a time, beatin' thoroughly after each addition. 4) Add melted chocolate, vanilla extract, and mashed potatoes, mixin' well after each addition. 5) Put batter in a greased and floured 9x13" pan and bake for forty-five minutes or 'til a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 6) Serve with whipped cream, if desired. *1 cup of sour milk = 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice mixed with enough milk to make 1 cup and allowed to stand for five minutes.
